How it works

Four stages. One connected case..

MAC runs on a deliberately simple lifecycle — four stages that every case moves through — so doctors, clinics, and patients always know exactly where things stand, from first referral to final outcome.

Each stage has a single owner, a measurable outcome, and a hand-off rule. Click into any of them.

Portal action
The referring doctor sends a patient referral through MAC’s secure digital portal.
Smart form
Patient information auto-populates from the EMR. Intelligent fields surface only what’s needed.
Validation
Specialty and urgency are selected. The system runs immediate compliance and completeness checks.
Outcome
Referral is logged, tracked in the portal, and flagged for the MAC care-coordination team.
Expert matching
MAC care coordinators use central booking tools to filter by specialty, location, availability and patient need.
Clinic requirement
Matching is restricted to MAC-registered clinics that use Clinicmaster as their practice management software.
Rapid booking
The top matches are presented to a MAC care coordinator, who books the first appointment — including any assessment or imaging the case needs — within minutes.
Hand-off
The case is transferred to the clinic. The patient receives notification of their confirmed appointment.
Care oversight
MAC’s clinical team oversees the working case — reviewing progress, coordinating any assessments or specialist consults, and handling referral letters.
Doctor consulting
The referring doctor is legally positioned to provide insights, a treatment plan, and ongoing consultation with the clinic.
Compensation mechanism
This consulting service is what allows MAC to legally pay the referring doctor for their expertise — not a referral fee.
Documentation
All clinical input is logged in the patient’s case file, viewable by both MAC and the treating clinic.
Treatment & progress
The patient receives specialized care at the registered clinic. Real-time status and automated progress reports feed back into the system.
Billing transparency
The clinic bills through Clinicmaster. MAC charges 15% of total billing to cover coordination, case management and digital tracking.
Digital management
The referring doctor, the clinic, and MAC all track outcomes and status through one portal — secure messaging included.
Discharge
The case is formally closed in Clinicmaster, with discharge notes routed back to the referring doctor’s record.

One place for every case

A referring doctor submits the patient through MAC's secure portal in under 90 seconds — full history attached, nothing faxed.

WORKFLOW AUTOMATION

Nothing waits on a call

Matching, booking, notifications, and progress reporting run automatically — the case keeps moving on its own.

AI-ASSISTED REPORTING

Paperwork, drafted for you

Referral letters and progress summaries are generated automatically, then reviewed by MAC's clinical team.

DATA & ANALYTICS

Every outcome, captured

Case data and outcomes are captured at every step — the foundation for clear reporting now and smarter matching over time.

Common questions

Things people ask before joining..

Our average referral processing time is 2.4 hours — submission through to confirmed clinic booking — compared to the 5–7 day industry standard. That includes intelligent matching, clinic confirmation and patient notification.

Our matching system automatically rolls forward to the next-best match within minutes. You get a notification, but no action is required from you — the referral keeps moving.

Every transfer is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is logged. The platform is built to PHIPA and PIPEDA standards, HIPAA-aligned, and runs continuous security audits. Compliance reports are available to partner clinics on request.

Yes. Your portal dashboard shows every active referral, their current stage, the clinic they were matched to, and the time since last update. You can filter by status, urgency, or specialty.

You can flag a preferred clinic at referral time. If they’re in the MAC network and have capacity, we’ll route there. If not, we’ll surface comparable matches in their area.

No. MAC sits beside your existing workflow as the coordination layer. On the clinic side, Clinicmaster is the practice management system. On the referring-doctor side, MAC integrates with your EMR via the secure portal.

MAC is built on Clinicmaster, the practice-management platform that in-network clinics use to run scheduling, booking, billing, and case management. Clinicmaster is the clinic-side system of record; MAC is the coordination layer connecting referring doctors, clinics, and specialists across a patient’s whole case.
